Installed Internet Explorer 6 on my brother's PC last night. Was he grateful? Was he heck!! (going to try and restrain from swearing on my weblog, seeing as I seem to do it far too often in real life).

Did it cos he was blaming me for changing some settings somewhere which meant we were getting asked to OK all the digital certificates before we could get on to secure sites. Innocent of all charges but thought I'd try and fix it anyway. Spent an hour and a half downloading and installing it, and, lo and behold, we're no longer getting asked to OK them. Problem solved!!

I told him this morning that I'd installed it and he had a big strop saying I should have asked him first. Told him I'd sorted the problem but then he waffled on about all the problems he's heard about on IE6 from work, blah blah blah. I was like, yeah, whatever. Then I get an ear-bashing off my mum (My brother is such a mummy's boy even though he's 25) asking what I'd done to upset him. Explained that I'd solved a problem he wrongly blamed me for and she had to stop moaning.

The main bonus is that I can now use the advanced Text Editor on 20six!!

Now got to try and remember all the HTML I learnt at Uni to do all the fancy editing like colours and stuff. Found this website which should help me, and maybe others, out: HTML Goodies.

Got to work out what to do for the rest of the day. Want a lazy weekend but due for a visit to the gym. Might leave it till mid-week though.

Watching the cricket would have been an option but England wrapped up the series 2-0 yesterday in what turned out to be a relatively one-sided series against Zimbabwe. For a change though, England were the one side!!

I won't be getting my fix of football until Wednesday when England play Slovakia. Waiting for some substantial rumours about who Spurs will be signing over the summer

Just about to play online poker with a mate from Uni. Should kill a few hours/minutes.

The One and Only

Updated my weblog layout for the umpteenth time. Now used 4 of the 7 layout styles 20six provide. Think I'll settle for this one. Well, for now at least.

Filled in my CIMA forms, need to check a few things before I send them off this week.

Just listening to VH-1's "One Hit Wonders". Highlights so far have been Charles & Eddie and the ultimate one hit wonder, Chesney Hawkes.

He performed at Aston during my final year. He started off playing some new material and going on about bringing out a new single and album. Everyone was just, like, play that song. He eventually did towards the end of his set. As soon as it finished, about 90% of the audience went to the bar, never to return!!

And now the Macarena, scourge of discoordinated dancers everywhere, and the Ketchup song. All we need now is Saturday night by Whigfield to complete a hat-trick of songs that are impossible to do the dance to accurately.

Spoke to Mae earlier on MSN Messenger. She gave me the idea of doing a weblog.

Did you know.... ?

Bob Dylan's real name was Robert Allen Zimmerman.

Donald Duck's middle name is Fauntleroy.

Been finding the answers for a quiz set by someone at work. The internet does have its uses, especially the Internet Movie Database!!

Suddenly had a thought to myself when I looked at my last entry: Is Bob Dylan dead? The answer is, of course, no so technically his real name is still Robert Allen Zimmerman.

Off to work in a bit. Got to get my graduation certificate and transcripts certified by a manager so I can send them off with my CIMA form.

Managed to get the stuff certified, no questions asked, by a senior manager. I've not exactly hidden the fact that I want to escape from this current job but didn't want to go through the whole thing again.

Will send the stuff off tomorrow when I get a chance to go to the Post Office and buy an A4 envelope and then I'll send it by recorded delivery seeing as the Royal Mail seems to be so unreliable these days.

Getting a stinking cold which I'm less than pleased about.

Had to send an email to the agency cos they wanted more details about my PC skills but a company has a position they think I might be suitable for so fingers crossed. Trying not to get my hopes up too much as I've got excited about a couple of the other jobs I've applied for only to get turned down. Had to tell another manager at work about the fact I'm trying to leave. They're all pretty understanding as I think they know I need to get on with starting my career properly rather than just earning some money doing a job.

Tried to book tickets for the London Masters for me and a couple of mates. Rang up the booking office. Was told they'd sold out but might have some tickets later this afternoon so hoping for a call back.

Got to go to White Hart Lane in a bit to pick up my season ticket and complain about being overcharged for some tickets for a pre-season friendly against PSV Eindhoven. Only paid £6 too much but if they do that to all 20,000 season ticket holders it soon adds up!! Might buy a couple of things in the Spurs megastore while I'm there.

Got to time my trip to the gym well so I don't miss the phone call about the Masters so I'll probably go late afternoon. Off to the pub to watch the England game with a mate tonight and then afterwards we're going to find his brother in another pub just to see how drunk he will be as it's his 21st today.

Got to contact a few more agencies in between all this so going to have a busy day.

It's a deal, it's a steal.....

Got everything sorted out at the ticket office. Actually got a £7 refund as I didn't have to pay the booking fee on the tickets as I picked them up in person, even though I was exchanging ones that had been sent through the post.

Went and spent some money in the mega store. Could easily have got carried away but managed to restrict myself to just over £50. Should have cost over £85 but a couple of the items were in the sale. I reckon they're money well spent.

Just a standard grey polo shirt with the Spurs cockerel on the chest

A blue check shirt (as modelled by Spurs goalkeeper Kasey Keller)

Robe di Kappa navy shirt - particularly chuffed with this particular purchase

Signed up for a few more agencies today. Going to re-register with some of the ones I used over the summer when I was looking for jobs straight after finishing Uni.

Planning on buying a digital camera before I go to Sweden next month so then I can put some better pictures in my blog entries.
