Bringing Down The House

When this film started I was worried it was going to be a very predictable comedy. The opening scenes were similar to You've Got Mail with two people forming a relationship over the internet. One of them a hot-shot lawyer who constantly disappoints his ex-wife and kids due to work commitments - like Jim Carrey in Liar, Liar.

Once the female lead Charlene (Queen Latifah) was actually introduced it picked up remarkably and turned out to be a very enjoyable comedy as she tries to persuade tax lawyer Steve Martin to help her clear her name for an armed robbery she claims she was framed for.

Highlights included a fight scene which would have put the Matrix to shame (well, almost) and Martin's valiant attempts at getting 'street'. Eugene Levy (the Dad from American Pie puts in another superb cringe-worthy performance in his attempts to woo Charlene.

More than enough funny moments to make it worth seeing. 7/10

Have managed to get some pirate DVD's lately,so will give a fellow YIDDO's point of view on a few films due to fill your local multiplex!!!

Go and see Identity, it's the best film I've seen in ages!!!

The Hulk sucked ass big time (major piss off!!!) though good to see Lou ferrenno (original green man) and Stan Lee (creator) have their little cameo together!!!
The remake of the Italian Job (Don't Cringe just yet!!!) Isn't that bad, watch it as if it's an original film and not a remake and you'll probably love it, go in single mindedly comparing it to the Michael Caine Classic and you'll loathe it like Arsenal scum (nuff said!!!)

Bruce Almighty is worth a look, as it's good to see Jim Carrey do something reminisant of his old (funnier) stuff.
2Fast 2Furious has some great car races and scantily dressed women scenes but a wafer thin plot!!!
Hollywood Homicide is also worth a look if you've seen everything else and looking for a night out at the cinema.
Can't get hold of the real biggie though 'JASON Vs FREDDY' Guaranteed to fuck both franchises up in one foul swoop but you gatta watch it all the way despite the cheese!!!
Same goes with Charlie's Angels 2: Full Throttle, Gotta see it just For the whole Drew Barrymore thing that I've got going on in my wildest fantasies!!!
